Jimmy Dean Statue
Booth Memorial Company proudly undertook the relocation of the Jimmy Dean statue by the renowned sculptor Paul DiPasquale. Known for creating the Arthur Ashe statue on Richmond’s Monument Avenue and the King Neptune statue in Virginia Beach, DiPasquale spent a year crafting the Dean sculpture. Utilizing family photographs and artifacts, he developed a clay version before its completion at Robert Bricker’s Bronze Craft Foundry in Waynesboro. This impressive statue, standing 7 feet tall and weighing 800 pounds, captures Dean in his 60s, adorned in his iconic Western attire.
King Neptune Project
Booth Memorial Company was thrilled to contribute to the monumental King Neptune Project, which features a sculpture towering at 34 feet. Our team, with close ties to sculptor Paul DiPasquale, was honored to add the finishing touches, including sandblasting the artist's name into the sculpture’s base. Located in Virginia Beach, opposite Neptune Park, this iconic piece is celebrated as DiPasquale’s greatest achievement in public art.
Arthur Ashe Monument
Another masterpiece by Paul DiPasquale, the Arthur Ashe Monument, is dedicated to the legendary tennis player from Richmond, VA. As one of the modern era's most accomplished sculptors, DiPasquale’s work, including the King Neptune sculpture, showcases his exceptional talent. Booth Memorial Company was privileged to handle the detailed sandblasting work on this esteemed monument.
Police K-9 Memorial
In memory of police dogs in the Richmond area, Booth Memorial Company, led by Ross Booth (left), installed a memorial marker donated by David Booth. The 2,700-pound stone lists the names of deceased K-9s from Richmond, Henrico, and Hanover since 1957. The heartfelt dedication took place at the Richmond Police Department's K-9 facility on Forest Lawn Drive.
Brookland Middle School
Booth Memorial Company crafted and installed the granite sign marking Brookland Middle School in Henrico County. Comprising six pieces of multi-colored granite, this striking sign can be seen at the corner of Lydell Drive and Parham Road, showcasing our commitment to excellence in craftsmanship.
The James Center
Tasked with carving the iconic name at the James Center, Booth Memorial Company completed this substantial Richmond landmark, viewed daily by countless locals. The carving was skillfully executed by Michael and David Booth, contributing to Richmond’s architectural heritage.
The Harvey Family Memorial
Booth Memorial Company had the honor of placing a memorial for the Harvey family. Following the family's tragic loss, a bridge at Forest Hill Park was dedicated in their memory. Our team installed a 2-ton granite marker featuring a bronze plaque and a relief portrait of the family, unveiled in a ceremony attended by nearly 200 people.
